Spring · three weeks

Three weeks, and the flowers set the date.

A tulip festival is the hardest season to sell. The window is short, it moves with the weather, and nobody can book it more than a few days out.

Twenty minutes. You leave with a written plan whether you hire us or not. Month-to-month, always.

What makes it hard

Three things that are true of this season only

Nobody knows when you open. Including you.

The bloom moves a fortnight either way. Everything you publish has to be changeable the same morning.

The searches are not your name.

They are “tulip festival near me” and “things to do this weekend”, and they spike about ten days before peak.

It is a photograph people are buying.

More than any other season, the decision is visual — which makes the bloom update the single most valuable thing you publish.

An early spring slides this whole block a fortnight left; a cold one slides it right. Nothing you publish in February can name a date, which is why the status has to be a thing you change rather than a thing you announce.

The common version

Three things nearly every venue does that cost it the season

MostMost farms announce an opening date.

InsteadThen the bloom moves and the date becomes a liability. Announce a status you can change the same morning instead.

MostMost farms post the bloom to Instagram.

InsteadWhere no search engine and no assistant can read it. The same photograph on a page that updates is worth more.

MostMost farms market the flowers.

InsteadFamilies are buying a two-hour outing. The flowers are the reason; the parking, the pram access and the coffee are the decision.

What we would run

Four services, in the order this season needs them

What they actually type

The searches that decide it, and how far out they happen

Ready to come

tulip festival near me · tulips in bloom now · u-pick tulips near me · [farm] tickets

Two days out at most. The word that matters is “now”.

Still choosing

when do tulips bloom in [state] · tulip festival [year] · spring things to do near me · best tulip fields to visit

Starts in February and builds. The farm that has answered “when” since February owns the whole window.

Checking one thing

are the tulips out yet · how much is it to pick tulips · is it muddy · can you bring a pram

Condition questions, asked daily, answerable only by you.

Examples, not an export. The real list is built from your own county on the search page, and the first group is won in the Map Pack rather than on your site at all.
